Justin M. Azure
Justin M. Azure, 37 of Rolette ND passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 21, 2023 in Las Vegas, NV while on vacation with family.
Born to Stewart and Kim Azure on July 26,1985 in Belcourt, ND, He grew up in the Rolette area where he received his education. At the age of 18 he enlisted in the United States Army. Justin was stationed in Bamberg Germany for a length of time and from there he served 2 tours in Iraq, where he received multiple awards and medals, such as Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Service Defense Medal, Global Terrorism Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Campaign Star Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (2ND award), Combat Action Badge along with numerous other awards. Justin was honorably discharged in 2009 with the rank of Sergeant.
He returned to the Rolette area and was employed as a regional technician for the EPA in Belcourt ND, eventually moving to St. Cloud Minnesota where he was active in the Honor Guard at Veterans of Foreign Wars VFW. Justin had a big heart and found comfort in helping others.
Justin loved fishing, water sports, camping, and he had a passion for cars. He especially loved spending time with his family, friends and devoted service dog Ashanti.
He is survived by his loving family. His fiancé Kati Bartlett of Dilworth Minnesota, son Liam Zaste of Belcourt ND, parents Stewart and Kim Azure of Rolette ND, brother Austin Azure of Rolette ND, sister Kimberlin Azure (Hannah) of Aiken, South Carolina, sister Mandy Tostenson (Josh) of Williston, ND, grandmother Loretta Falcon of Rolette ND along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Justin was preceded in death by his grandparents Herman and Patricia Azure and grandparent Arlon Falcon.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral Mass: Monday, May 1,2023 -10:00 am

Military Honors will be accorded by the Belcourt VFW Post #4516, the Lilley-Dionne American Legion Post #262 and the North Dakota Military Funeral Honors Team.
Meal will follow at the Fiddlers Hall Belcourt, ND
