Catherine Regan “Molly”, 87 of Devils Lake formerly of Grand Forks, ND passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Eventide Heartland Care Center in Devils Lake.
Catherine was born on March 23, 1931, at Devils Lake, ND one of nine children to Thomas and Bertha (Melvie) Regan. She grew up on the family farm at Webster in the loving care of her parents and siblings.
She lived for a time in Grafton and Minot, ND and for the past 18 years lived a happy and fulfilling life in Grand Forks as a cherished resident of the 10th Avenue home. In November of 2018, Molly moved to Devils Lake to be closer to family.
Molly was a kind and caring person who loved to volunteer. She spent many hours at the St. Joseph Social Center, at the local Humane Society and was always the cheerful, smiling Salvation Army Bell Ringer. She participated in Special Olympics for several years and was the recipient of many medals, most were for race walking and bowling.
Family would “google” Molly when they wanted to know the names of all the National Football and Baseball Leagues and other bits of information you might be seeking. Of course she had her favorites and that was the Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Vikings.
Molly felt so blessed to have so many friends, family and care givers in her life. Her smile was heart-warming and contagious. Molly loved the Lord and put her faith and trust in His promises. “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
Molly’s loving family include her brother Glen Regan, Webster, ND; nephews Tim (Agnes) Regan, Maple Grove, MN, George Regan, Webster, Nancy (Maurice) Pescion, Cooperstown, ND, Jill (Dave) Koehn, Grand Forks, Diane Regan (Rene) and Colleen (Curt) Schuler all of Devils Lake, Linda (Dave) Stewart, Courteney, British Columbia; 20 grand nieces and grand nephews; nine great great nieces and great great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Donald, Tom, Norman, Harold and Charles Regan; sisters Norma Etchinson and Margaret Frye; niece Loretta Frye.
