Kelly Ann Arttus Minor, daughter of Norman Arttus and Delores Cavanaugh Yankton was born on October 14, 1964 in Moorhead, Minnesota. She grew up and attended school in the Fargo/Moorhead area. She received a Degree in Business Management at Minot State University. She worked various jobs throughout her life, but increasing health problems had made continued employment impossible.
She treasured her family with her whole heart and especially enjoyed playing BINGO with her sister Maggie and also enjoyed watching her niece and nephews dance at pow-wows. You would find Kelly with a fishing pole in her hand anytime there was an opportunity to go fishing. She would spend an entire week in Park Rapids fishing. She created and sewed many Star Quilts for family and friends.
Kelly liked to be on the go and loved shopping for new clothes, going to second hand stores and garages sales. She collected Fenten glassware, Native American prints and plates. She never missed a chance to spend time with her grandkids. When at home, you would find Kelly watching her favorite reality TV shows, listening to music, playing cards and board games. How Kelly loved to bake, and she made sure she made everyone’s favorites whenever they came to visit.
Kelly faced so many health challenges, yet she felt so blessed to have family and friends who cared for her throughout these last months. We will all miss her beautiful smile and her joyful ways. Although Kelly no longer walks beside us she will be present in spirit always. We love you Kelly.
