Kevin J. Spottedbird       June 18, 1978  ~  February 27, 2021

Kevin J. SpottedBird, 42 of St. Michael ND passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at his home. 

Visitation will be held at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake ND on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary and Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church with Reverend Paul Schuster celebrating the Mass.  Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery at a later date. 

Kevin born to Kenneth Spottedbird and Joyce Tomahawk Peltier.  At a young age, Kevin entered the Wadsworth family and remained in their care until the time of his death.  At age 7, Kevin was placed in the care of his foster parents Tony and Darlene.

Kevin was an active parish member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, where he was baptized, made his first communion and was confirmed.

Kevin attended school in the Devils Lake District and later graduated from Grafton High School.  Kevin enjoyed fishing, playing softball in the yard and basketball.  Summertime meant a fun time for Kevin.  He also found interest in puzzles, board games and coloring.  Whatever Kevin did, he took pride in it.

Kevin was a kind and gentle individual who always was willing to lend a hand to anyone in need.  Even though Kevin’s life on Mother Earth was short, he touched many lives with his kindness and lasting smile.  May Kevin forever rest in God’s care.

Honoring pallbearers for Kevin are Myra Pearson, Carol Lysne, Phillip Longie, Edna McCaslin, Peggy Cavanaugh, Spirit Lake EMS, Mercy Hospital ER Staff, Trinity Health 5^th Floor Nursing Staff and all those who lives Kevin touched.

Thank you to the Spirit Lake Ambulance Services, Dr. Downs and all those who shared their thoughts and prayers with the family during this difficult time.  We were blessed to have Kevin in our lives, and he will be greatly missed.
