Kyston Paul Baker, (Wapa-ha Wambdi) “Eagle Staff” of St. Michael, ND, 13-month-old, precious son, brother, grandson, great-grandson, nephew, and cousin passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at CHI, St. Alexius Health, Devils Lake ND.

Kyston Paul, son of Collin Delorme Sr. and Kenzie Baker was born on January 12, 2022, in Devils Lake ND, and made his home in St. Michaels ND with his parents and brothers.

Little Kyston’s smile would melt your heart, his sparkling eyes and his giggles brought so much joy to his family. He loved his rattles, all of his toys, and especially playtime with his big brothers and little friends. Though his life was short, he touched so many lives and hearts with love and happiness. He was treasured by his parents, brothers, grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Kyston a child of God will never be forgotten and will be forever missed and forever loved.

Kyston’s loving family includes his parents Collin and Kenzie; brothers Wesley Baker, Zaelyn Baker, and Collin Delorme Jr.; grandparents Darcie and Cory Delorme, Mary and Joe Azure, Pamela Baker, Richard and Lonna Street, Karen and Alfred Thompson Jr., Duane Jackson Jr. (Keeman), Candace and Cyril Thompson, Doris Thompson, Melissa Denne, Lovella Thompson, Natalie Hunts Along, Margo Azure, and Randy Denne Jr., Goxane Delorme, Robin Delorme, Jackie Delorme, Curtis Delorme, Daniel Delorme; great grandparents Cody and Sheila T. Guy, Debbie and Dave Cavanaugh, Duane and Adeline Jackson, Philip and Phyllis Delorme, Alfred and Nita Thompson, Mike and Patty Bowker; aunts and uncles Sangeigh Delorme, Cameron Delorme, Kori Jean Jackson, Jackson Delorme, Greyson Delorme, Jonn Bowker, Randall Bowker, Kendra Baker (Alfred), Grace Azure (Eddie), Joe Azure (Sydney), Moe Azure, Beau Azure, Kenny Baker Jr., Elisha (Mitchell) Paulson, Kyle Lawrence, Douglas Lawrence, Joseph and Marnie Lawrence, and numerous cousins.

Kyston was welcomed into heaven by his grandparents; Kenny Baker Sr., Paul Thompson, and Dawn Jackson, great grandparents; Mike and Mary Jane Thompson, Marie Baker, Marie Peltier, Lawrence Murphy Sr., Alvina Jackson-Baer, Marie Jackson, Rita Jackson, Leon Jackson, Joanne Red Road, Louis Jackson, and Auntie Dancia Jackson.

Casket Bearers will be uncles, Jackson Delorme, Greyson Delorme, Joe Azure, Weylyn Azure, and Doris Thompson.

Honorary Pall Bearers are Kyston’s closest relatives; Michael Jay Denne Jr., Rayah Thompson, Marcel Carmona, Kylie Baker, Alayah McKay, Sawyer Mason, Carlette Mason, Beau Azure, the Spirit Lake EMS Staff, and the staff at CHI, St. Alexis Hospital, Devils Lake ND, especially Tammi Kartes, RN.

Visitation will be held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church on Monday, February 27, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a time of prayer at 7:00 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Paul Schuster celebrating the Mass. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery.

Music will be provided by Lake Region, Kris White, and all drum groups and singers wishing to share their songs in memory of Kyston.
