Lauren Sarah Ironhawk

Lauren Sarah Ironhawk, 39 of Billings MT formerly of the Tokio and Fargo/Moorhead ND area died on Friday, September 3, 2021 at her home in Billings surrounded by her loving family. 

The Wake for Lauren will be held on Monday, September 13, 2021 at the Dakotah Oyate Lutheran Church, rural Tokio ND beginning at 5:30 p.m. with a time of prayer and remembrance at 7:00 p.m.   The procession to Tokio will leave on Monday at 4:00 p.m. from the City Plaza in Devils Lake. 

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Larry Thiele officiating. Burial will be in the Native American Cemetery, rural Tokio.

Lauren Sarah was born on August 4, 1982 at Devils Lake ND, the daughter of Delilah Blueshield and Merrill Ironhawk.  She lived with her family in the Tokio area until 1990 when they moved to the Fargo/Moorhead area and Lauren attended the Red River Area Learning School.  In 2007, she moved to Billings MT and earned her GED.  Lauren worked as a CNA and also as a Home Health Care worker.

Lauren’s family were her most precious treasures.  She had her struggles, but she always knew she had the love and support of her family.  Lauren had a very strong bond with her brother “Sonny”.  She told him what and how and he did everything she said or did. 

Lauren’s family include her children Jake Ironhawk, twins Seyjah and Jada Clark, Logan Ironhawk and Alyssia Robinson; mother Delilah Blueshield; father Merrill Ironhawk Sr.; special friend Chris Rep; brothers and sisters Aaron Ironhawk, Merrill Ironhawk Jr., Walter “Sonny” Thompson, Vance  (Samantha) Thompson Jr., Mary Ironhawk, Tammy Ironhawk, Tara Ironhawk, Chelsea Ironhawk, Miranda Ironhawk,  Brunell Ironhawk, Anthony Ironhawk, Kyle Ironhawk and William Goodbird; grandmother Esther Ironhawk; aunts and uncles Valerie Paul, Lynette Blueshield, June Blueshield, Julie Johnson, Darla Thiele, Sheila Blueshield, Adeline Blueshield, Joan Blueshield, Karen Longie, Kimberly Littleghost, Whitney Littleghost, Perry Paul and James Littleghost and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

She was preceded in death by her precious son Timothy Greywind, brother Jonathan Thompson, sister Meryl Ironhawk, aunts and uncle Martina Mattson, Sandra Blueshield, Rachel Blueshield and Joe Blueshield.

Active Casket Bearers will be Aaron Thompson Jr., Joseph Thompson, Vance Thompson Jr., Merrill Ironhawk Jr., Aaron Ironhawk, William GoodBird, Joseph Blueshield, Walter “Sonny” Thompson and Richard Cavanaugh. 

Honorary Bearers will be Cassandra Jewels, Jodine Romero, Andy Severson, Lisa TwoHearts, Shanda Reddest, Denise Green Reyes, Sam Carlson, Michael Bobby, Grandma “Karen” and her many friends whom she loved and cared for.  If we forgot to name someone, please forgive us.
