Lori Ann Alberts, made her journey into the spirit world on April 19, 2025, at the age of 53, sleeping peacefully at her mother’s surrounded by her loved ones. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and niece, Lori was born on July 21, 1971, in Devils Lake North Dakota, Lori was raised with love by her devoted mother, Cynthia Alberts. She shared a close bond with her siblings—brothers James Alberts and Tracy Alberts, and her sister Lorraine Alberts.

Lori was the heart of her family. She was a proud and devoted mother to six children; sons: Tyler Longie, Teejay (Brandon Two Bears) Longie, Daughters: Shania (Luke Hinton) Longie, Dancia (Brennan Russette) Greybear, Ashlie Longie, Gabrielle Mudgett, Renae (Aaron Cavanaugh) Alberts and Tristan (Chuck White) Longie, Special nieces: Jamie Alberts, Mandee Alberts, Miranda Alberts; special nephews: Dakota Alberts, James Alberts Jr.

Her life was dedicated to her children, whom she raised with unconditional love, strength, and unwavering support. Her greatest joy came from her role as a mother and grandmother.

Lori loved to get her nails done and she liked to color, listen and dance to music, and spend time with her kids and grandchildren. Lori also attended Circle of Nations Indian school and there she be became a cheerleader, She attended Jobs Corps in Anaconda Montana for a year, there she took classes for auto-mechanics, then she later on went back home to St Michael’s North Dakota to work at the Spirit Lake Casino & Resort. There she worked as a floor walker for the casino. She continued her life raising her 6 kids and many grandchildren

Lori’s legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren, Grandsons: Martin Whitetail, Markel Longie, Xzavier Snell, Kendrick Snell, Kaysen Heyward, Zaylon Heyward, Malcolm Hinton, Lane Hinton, Amari Russette, Forrest Longie, Eli Longie, Tylin Greybear, Tanner Mason, Cain Cheney Jr, and Angel Longie. Granddaughters: Shyra Whitetail, Kiya Snell, Amaria Russette, Maleina Littlewind, Aliyah Longie, Taryn White, Danica White, Teri White, Kylie Mason, Hazel Mason and Julianna Alberts. Great grandchild: Katari Grace Whitetail

Lori’s warmth, generosity, and loving spirit touched everyone who knew her. She had a gift for making people feel welcome, offering comfort, and creating a home filled with laughter and love. Her strength carried her family through life’s challenges, and her heart brought them together in times of joy.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who loved her.

Procession will leave at 4:00PM City Plaza parking lot. The wake for Lori will be held on Thursday April 24th, 2025, at the St Michael’s Recreation Center beginning at 5:00PM with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday April 25th, 2025 at 10:00AM at Cynthia Albert’s residence. She will be laid to rest beside her Aunty Oskie Alberts, nephew Monty Herman Jr “M.J”,
