Madissen Foxx Paulsen

Madissen F. Paulsen, 11 year old daughter of Shane Paulsen passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at her home. Madissen Foxx, daughter of Shane Paulsen and the late Ravanah Wolf was born on February 12, 2006 at Mercy Hospital, Devils Lake, ND. She attended Prairie View Elementary School and was now in the 6th grade at Central Middle School.  She was consistently a straight A student and enjoyed being a part of all the school activities.  She participated in chorus and played clarinet in the band.  Madissen loved traveling with her Dad, visiting family and friends, attending concerts and the freedom of the open road and wherever that road would take them. Our precious Madissen was loved by all who knew her and she will be so very missed. Madissen is survived by her Dad, Shane of Devils Lake; grandparents Vicki Senger Fisher, Devils Lake, Robert Paulsen, Tucson, AZ and Buck Wolf of Washington; brother Phoenix; aunts and uncles Marissa and Andy Davis, Randa Wolf, Shay Smith, Kelly Winchester and Bobby Paulsen; several cousins, great aunts and great uncles also survive. She was preceded in death by her mother Ravanah, grandmother Robin Wilson and her great grandparents. Casket Bearers for Madissen will be Daryl Hill, Josh Facchini, Chris Humiston, Chris Maixner, Tracy Wren, Curtis Bracken, Jay McCanna and Jason Pierce. Music will be provided by Patty and Jeff Cote and a special recorded music chosen by her Dad.  Gift Bearers will be her godparents Leroy and Juliann Koble.  Mass of Christian Burial for Madissen will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Devils Lake with the Very Reverend C.F. Wilhelm celebrating the Mass. Gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, December 11, 2017 at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake from 4:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. and will continue on Tuesday at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.
