Marcia M. “Biddy” Lindquist of Devils Lake, ND passed away in the early morning of January 6th, 2025 at Eventide Heartland Care Center in Devils Lake surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
Marcia “Biddy” Munson,82, was born on May 10th, 1942, in Devils Lake, ND to Victoria (Rondeau) and Arnold Anderson. She attended the catholic school in St. Michael, ND, and later continued her education at Lake Region UND. Biddy had 6 sisters and 6 brothers.
When Biddy was working at a restaurant in Minneapolis, MN she met Thomas “Tom” Lindquist Sr. They were married on December 2nd, 1972. Together they raised 5 children Billy Jo, Dawn, Leslie, Thomas Jr., and Joseph. For many years they made their home in Minnesota and eventually made Devils Lake their permanent home.
Biddy worked for many years as a CNA and waitress. Biddy loved going to bingo with her mom and sisters and she never turned down a cup of coffee and some visiting. She also loved going to the thrift stores and finding little treasures and books to add to her collection. Biddy was especially proud to be a grandma and loved spending time with her family.
Biddy is survived by her husband Thomas of Carrington ND and children Dawn (Monte) Ryan, Leslie Lindquist, Thomas Jr. Lindquist, and Joseph Lindquist all of Devils Lake and bonus son Jeff (Patti) Schlies of Pittsburg, TX; Her grandchildren Jocelyn Miller of Devils Lake, Cody Parrish of Whitefish, MT, Victoria Parrish (John Hendrickson), and Trysten Parrish of Devils Lake, Hailey Lindquist of Summerville, SC, Parker Halle of Devils Lake, Rylan Lindquist of Minnesota and Courtney Ryan of Devils Lake. Her sisters Marlene Hanson and Vicky Jones both Devils Lake and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Victoria and Arnold, son Billy Jo, siblings John Munson, Kenneth Munson, Julius Munson, Victoria “Keila” Miller, Frances Welch, Olive “Tiny” Asleson, Arnie Anderson, Jimmy Anderson, Bruce Anderson, and Joan Anderson.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 11th at 10:30 A.M. at Gilbertson Funeral Home, officiated by Reverend Mr. Ken Severinson, Deacon. Honorary urn bearers will be her grandchildren.
The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to all of the wonderful staff at Eventide. Our little mama never went without a Coke and lots of love.
