Marie Adams

Marie Adams, 99 of Devils Lake formerly of Warwick ND passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at Eventide Heartland Care Center, Devils Lake.

Mass of Christian Burial for Marie will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, St. Michael, ND with Reverend Paul Schuster celebrating the Mass. Following lunch and fellowship, burial will be in the Warwick Cemetery beside her husband Frank.

Marie Senger was born on the farm, rural Barton ND, on December 4, 1922 to Sebastian and Philipina (Miltenberger) Senger. She was one of thirteen children.  She was baptized at Little Flower Catholic Church in Rugby. 

The family moved to a farm at rural Devils Lake, near Rohrville ND where Marie attended a country school and St. Mary’s Academy.

Marie was united in marriage to Frank Adams on October 6, 1938 in Devils Lake. They moved to a farm north of Warwick and later purchased the Martin Dutee farm, south of Warwick where they lived, worked and raised their family through the years. Marie worked hard on the farm and was an excellent cook.

In 1991, they moved to Devils Lake, spending summers on the farm. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in St. Michael ND.

Marie is survived by her son Jerry Adams of Warwick; daughter-in-law Judy Senger of Gervais OR; four grandchildren Tracy Neal, Cory, Tara and JoLayne Fuller; six great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and their families; special family friends the Hultgren family. 

Marie was preceded in death by her husband Frank on November 4, 1999, son Roger in April of 2003, sisters Barbara, Elizabeth, and Kathy, brothers Mike, Paul, Johnny, Tony, Jake, Pete, Steve, Joe and Louie.
