Michael Lee Longie

Graveside Services will be held on Friday, June 10, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Devils Lake Cemetery. 

Michael Lee Longie of Devils Lake and Fargo ND passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at the age of 43.

Funeral Services for Michael will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gilbertson Funeral Home Chapel, Devils Lake ND. 

Michael Lee was born on April 29, 1978 at Devils Lake, the son of Cynthia Longie. He grew up in Devils Lake and attended Sweetwater Elementary School and St. Joseph Academy.  He loved and worked in various locations in North Dakota.  For the past few years, Michael has called Fargo his home.

Michael’s life was his family, his friends and fishing, a pastime he truly enjoyed.

Michael has gone from us much too soon, but we hold our memories of him, and our love for him forever in our hearts. 

Michael is survived by his loving family.  His son Brett Longie, daughter Payton Coenen and son Morgan Longie; mother Cynthia Longie, Devils Lake; siblings Chuck (Shawna) Longie, Rugby ND; sister Jennifer Berg (fiancé Chad), Rolette ND, David (Tracy) DeCory also of Devils Lake; nieces and nephews Amanda Longie and Trevor Longie: Samantha Maskey, Devon Berg and Joey Berg: David DeCory Jr.; aunts and uncles Lauren Ann and Frank DeCory, Raymond and Sue Longie and Yvonne Trottier and many cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents William and Cecelia Trottier, uncles Timothy Trottier Sr. and Ronald Longie.
