Morgan Taylor Johnson, daughter of Gerald and Kristin (Exner) Johnson was born on November 9, 1997 at Mayville, ND. When Morgan was a month old, the family moved to Devils Lake. Morgan attended Prairie View Elementary School and graduated from Devils Lake High School in 2016.  Morgan participated in the many activities at school, including writing articles for “Ripples” and Student Manager for Girl’s Hockey.  She also enjoyed performing with Just For Kix.

Morgan continued her education at Lake Region State College from 2016-2017 where she graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration and Accounting. Morgan was now attending the University of Minnesota-Crookston online and pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Management.  She wanted to return the love and support she received from so many health care professionals.

Morgan’s biggest goal in life was living life to the fullest and not letting her Cystic Fibrosis diagnosis limit her aspirations. She did this through her hard work and dedication to school, attending family and friend events and her passionate work with the children at Sunnyside Childcare Center.

Morgan lived a life filled with busy friendships and an eventful family. She taught her family and friends, no matter how difficult the situation you are experiencing, someone else is going through much worse.  Morgan would want everyone to remember this; when facing these difficult situations don’t forget to “just breathe”.

Through the generous gift of organ donation, this remarkable young woman lives on in so many ways but lives on always and forever in our hearts and memories. Because of Morgan’s generous gifts, the worst day of our lives has turned into the best for others.

Morgan will be missed by her loving family. Her parents Gerald and Kristin; brother Chase Johnson, Jamestown, ND; grandmothers Carol Johnson, Devils Lake, ND and Jennifer Exner, LaMoure, ND; aunts and uncles Wanda and Eric Nygaard, Devils Lake, Kerri and Jason Simpfenderfer, Beulah, ND, Sam and Tammy Exner, Verona, ND, Eric and Tina Exner, Fargo, ND, Brandon and Sarah Exner, Devils Lake, Kaylyn and Peter Crocker, Brandon, Manitoba, Canada and Cassie and Dave Potts also of LaMoure; many cousins, great aunts, great uncles and dear friends.

She was welcomed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior and her Grandpa Don Exner, Grandpa Jerry Johnson and great Grammy Beatrice Aronson.

Casket Bearers for Morgan will be her uncles Eric Nygaard, Sam Exner, Eric Exner, Brandon Exner, Jason Simpfenderfer, Peter Crocker and Dave Potts.
