Nathan M. Weber of Napoleon, formerly of Devils Lake, ND died on Wednesday, April 26, 2017. He was 31 years of age. Nathan Michael, precious son of Kenneth and Linda (Schmitt) Weber was born on December 28, 1985 at Harvey, ND. He grew up in Devils Lake, attended Sweetwater Elementary, Central Middle School and graduated from Devils Lake High School with the class of “2004”. He participated in many school activities and sports including track, football, basketball and Tae Kwon Do. After high school he played on a Men’s Softball League and Men’s Basketball League. Nathan continued his education at Lake Region State College Police Academy. He graduated as Valedictorian of Police Officer Training Class in December of 2007. He also earned his Associate of Arts Degree in Business from LRSC. His hard work and determination earned Nathan a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Mayville State University and he was presently working towards a Master’s Degree in Business through the University of Mary in Bismarck. Nathan has served as a dedicated, courageous Police Officer for the past 10 years and most recently with the Napoleon Police Department. He was the recipient of two “Life Saving Awards” during his career. On June 12, 2009, Nathan was united in marriage to his dear wife Kristina Frost at St. Joseph Church. They established their home in Devils Lake and in 2015, moved to Napoleon. Nathan loved the outdoors and was into hunting, fishing and boating. He was also trying his hand as a Brew master. Of course this involved lots of practice and some taste testing with family and friends. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. Nathan’s loving family include his wife, Kristina and their children, his pride and joy John Mathias, Chase Michael and Ashlyn Marie; his parents Ken and Linda Weber of Devils Lake; his ”bestest sisters ever” Kristy Wishinsky, Alexander, ND and Kelsey Weber (Josh Kulas), Grand Forks, ND; his grandmothers Amelia Schmitt of Towner, ND and Catherine Weber, Devils Lake; nephews and nieces Paul, Lexi, Drew, Ethan, Mathias, Zander, Sterling, Charlotte and Bridget; mother-in-law Cynthia (Brian) Udby, Lankin, ND and father-in-law Kevin (Meredith) Frost, Hunter, ND; sisters-in-law, Kayla (Justin) Hovland, West Fargo, ND, Karlotta (Josh) Dixon, Fargo, ND and Bobbi Jo Weber, Markesan, WI and many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins. Nathan was welcomed home by his “Angel” baby; his brother Chad; and grandfathers John Schmitt and Mathias Weber. Mass of Christian Burial for Nathan will be on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Devils Lake with the Very Reverend C.F. Wilhelm celebrating the Mass. Nathan will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 1st at St. Joseph Catholic Church from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary and Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation on Tuesday will continue at the church one hour prior to the funeral Mass. Serving as Casket Bearers for Nathan will be Troy White Owl, Matthew Foughty, James Waldo, Paul Frith, Ross Hunter, Kelly McLean, Corey Gilbertson and JD Newick. Gift Bearers will be John, Chase, Ashlyn, Paul, Lexi and Drew. Music will be provided by Donovan Foughty, Lynne Webster and Audrey Myklebust. Reading the Scriptures will be Nancy Schneibel and Sharon Klein
