Omar Touche was born in Devils Lake, ND on February 1, 1955 to his father Robert Touche and mother Mary Esther Greywind. He was raised on a farm by foster parents in South Dakota. He joined the Navy at the age of 18 and served his country for 3 years. After finishing his service with the Navy, Omar decided to pursue a search for his biological family, which brought him to North Dakota.
After coming to North Dakota, Omar met his future wife and on October 13, 1978, he married his life-long partner, Priscilla Ross/Toucher. Their beautiful marriage was put on hold in 2009 when his beloved wife passed away. Now they will remain together, forever.
Together Omar and Priscilla helped raise and care for children who were in need, along with their own, Dina, Beverly, James, Robert, Bradley and Anthony. The family lived in Mobridge, South Dakota for a long time before settling back to North Dakota in 2003, settling permanently in Woodlake, ND.
Omar loved fishing for dinner. His favorite was walleye with corn on the cob. He enjoyed working with his hands. Fixing cars, fixing bikes for the kids, building anything and everything he needed. His yard was always clean. If anything broke around the house, it never stayed broken.
He enjoyed watching football, his favorite team was the Minnesota Vikings. The Casino was a regular place for him in his bored time.
His family remember him for his humor. He took every opportunity to bring laughter. He had many good friends who remember him in good terms. Omar passed away, a responsible, loving, smart and stubborn man. He left beautiful memories and taught his family many things.
Omar’s loving family include his sons James Littleghost, Robert Touche, Bradley Touche and Anthony Touche; his grandchildren Welden, Toddrah, Durius and Latrell Littleghost who spent a majority of their lives living in Woodlake with Omar and Priscilla. Even after his wife passed in 2009, he continued to care for the kids; other grandchildren include Lucas Little, Marcus, Tyler, Miranda, Jamesina, Jameson and Jasmen Littleghost; special great grandson Colson Comer and had great grandchildren Clayton and Priscilla Littleghost and two others; sister Brenda Touche; brothers Earl Ulmer, Stanley Touche, Bruce Touche and Allen Touche; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was welcomed home to Heaven by his wife Priscilla; parents Robert and Mary Esther; daughters Dina Littleghost and Beverly Littleghost; sister Roberta Ott/Touche.
