A Celebration of Life service will be held for Paul on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Salem Bible Church, Munich, North Dakota with Reverend Michael Jarrett officiating.

Paul Spenst, 84, of Munich, North Dakota, passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2018, quietly at his home, with family by his side.

Paul was born on May 30, 1933 to Henry and Susan (Friesen) Spenst on the family farm, near Langdon. His education consisted of eight years of grade school in a one room school house in Moscow Township.

On June 6, 1956, he married Linda Heppner, daughter of John and Elizabeth Heppner at the Salem Bible Church in Munich. They began farming in the Munich area and continued doing this for 58 years.

Paul and Linda are the parents of two children, Dan and Tammy, five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Paul is survived by his wife of 61 years Linda, his son Dan (Cynthia) Spenst of Munich, his daughter Tammy (Matt) Baginski of Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren Matthew, Holly and Joel Baginski; Chad (Courtney) Spenst and Chelaine (Josh) Anderson and great grandson Jaxon Anderson; sisters Dorothy Graber, Park River, ND, Susan (Pete) Nowatzki, Erie, ND and Edna (Bill) Hale, Casa Grande, AZ; sisters-in-law Ruth Hofer, Dallas, TX, Susan Dick, Jacksonville, FL, and Ann Heppner, Warroad, MN and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and several in-laws.

Music will be provided by the women’s trio, Cynthia Spenst, Ellen Dick and Carol Hoffman with Joan Heppner as pianist and Gladys Hoffman as organist. Special tributes by Ken Heppner and Jay Deckert. Reading Scripture will be Chelaine Anderson.
