Peggy Ann (Engstrom) Jacobson passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at Bethany on University in Fargo, ND at the age of 77 years.

Peggy is in the care of the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake. Graveside Services at the Leeds Cemetery, rural Leeds, ND are planned in the spring of 2025. 

Peggy Ann, daughter of Emil and Elaine (Schurr) Engstrom was born on July 15, 1947, at Fargo, ND. 

Peggy attended Leeds Public School, graduating from Leeds High School with the class of 1965. She continued her education at UND, Grand Forks, ND, graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Math and Physics and a Minor in Computer Science in 1969. She always had a desire to learn and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting in 1984 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. 

Peggy met Curtis Jacobson where they both attended Leeds Public School and they were united in marriage on December 20, 1966. They established their home in Wisconsin and for over 40 years, Peggy worked for the University of Wisconsin as a Computer Programmer. Ten of those years she worked remotely in Leeds, ND. She retired in 2011. 

Peggy enjoyed reading and working on computers. She also enjoyed crocheting and sewing and shared her creations with family and friends. 

Peggy’s loving family who mourns her passing include her husband, Curt; sisters Pat (Mike) Gould, Sioux Falls, SD and Paula (Les) Haagenson, Leeds ND; brother-in-law Dennis Fogelson; several beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Penny Fogelson. 

Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice in memory of Peggy.
