Randolph “Randy” “Shabadoo”J. Tikanye, 47 of Tokio, ND passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at his home. 

 The Wake for Randy will be on Friday, November 8, 2019 at the Woodlake Community Center, Tokio, ND beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m.   The procession to Tokio will leave on Friday at 4:00 p.m. from City Plaza. 

Funeral Services will be on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. also at the Community Center with Reverend Larry Thiele officiating. Randy will be laid to peaceful rest at the Bdecan Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Tokio. 

Casket Bearers will be Luke Georgeson, Michael “Mike” Gourd, Robert Redfox, Jarvis “Cookie” Jackson, Skyler Georgeson, Albin “Matt” Georgeson, Thomas DeMarce, Joel Redfox, Hunter Lufkins, Maynard Tikanye, Archie Redfox, Tyler Redfox, Christian IronRoad, Antoine LaVallie, Brandon Tikanye and Shawn Tikanye.

Randolph James Tikanye was born on April 3, 1972 in Devils Lake, ND the son of Francis Tikanye Sr. and RoseMary (Greywind) Tikanye-McKay. He attended Little Flower School in St. Michael, Central Middle School in Devils Lake and Warwick Public School.  He worked as a teacher at the Fort Totten Head Start for a time. 

Randy liked watching football; his favorite team was the Vikings. He enjoyed watching movies, hunting and fishing and driving around and having good times with his friends and relatives.  His best times were hanging with his best friend Mike Gourd. 

Randy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Randy is survived by his loving family. His brothers and sisters Francis “Poncho” Tikanye Jr., Duane Tikanye, Yvonne Georgeson, Beverly Tikanye, Maynard “Jumbo” Tikanye and Delphine Tikanye McKay; adoptive parents Sharon and Albin Georgeson; brothers and sister Albin “Matt” Georgeson, Luke Georgeson and Lisa Georgeson; adopted son William Georgeson; special granddaughters Serenity Georgeson and Nadia Alberts and other beloved relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents RoseMary and Francis; brothers Jonathan Tikanye Sr., Thomas Tikanye, Myron Greywind, Cornelius Tikanye, Emery Tikanye; sisters Corrine Stretches Tikanye, Bernadine Tikanye, Francine Dogskin; adopted brothers Clint Georgeson and Mark Lufkins Sr.great grandparents Mary Jane and Joseph Greywind, Gertrude Redfox and Archie Redfox Sr.; aunts Annie Redfox, Elizabeth Kaye Redfox, Etta Redfox, Karen Redfox Paul, Miriam Coco Redfox, Catherine Thompson, Mary Esther Landers; uncle Arthur Thompson; nephews Shane Tikanye, Shannon Tikanye, Greg Mindt; nieces Christine Mindt, Peggy Greywind, Stacey Tikanye; cousins Marion Redfox, Trevor McDonald, Michael Mead Jr., Mash Redfox, Archie Adam Redfox, Michelle Redfox, Jeremey Redfox and many more that went before us. 

The family would like to thank the Spirit Lake Ambulance and the Devils Lake Hospital for all that they have done to help out in any way they could.

Randy is in the care of the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake
