Rochelle M Cavanaugh

Rochelle Marie Cavanaugh “Rocky” Anpaowicahpi Win (Morning Star Woman), 61 of Fort Totten, ND began her journey to the Spirit World on Monday, August 8, 2022 at her home.

A Wake was held on Sunday, August 14, 2022 beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. at the Crow Hill Recreation Center, rural Fort Totten. Funeral Services were on Monday, August 15^th also at the Crow Hill Recreation Center with Reverend Paul Schuster officiating. Rochelle was laid to rest in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery.

Rochelle Marie was born on Thursday, August 11, 1960 in Devils Lake ND the daughter of Eugene and Priscilla (Adams) Cavanaugh. She spent most of her life on the Spirit Lake Nation where she lived, worked and raised her beautiful family.

Rocky is survived by her loving family: Her lifelong partner Ambrose Lawrence Jr, Daughters Amber (Josh), DeShawn (Joe), Bethany, and Kelly;  Sons Sean, Demery, Beau, Anthony. Her brothers Raymond and Frank Cavanaugh; her sister Carol Cavanaugh, Godchildren Ivan “June” Lovejoy and Rebecca Bear; Rochelle had 26 grandchildren and 15 Great-grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart and many nieces and nephews.

She is reunited in the Spirit World with her parents Priscilla & Gene Cavanaugh, Son Jonathan Lawrence, Daughter Felicia Cavanaugh, Grandson Jerome Delorme, Grandparents Sylvia & Frank Cavanaugh, John & Emma Adams, Sisters Margaret, Magdaline, and Patricia, Adopted sisters Alvina “Kabeebs” Thompson & Lavonne “Bunn” Jones.
