Roger M. Korb, 82 of Devils Lake ND passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at his home in the loving care of his family.
A Graveside Service for Roger will be held on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Devils Lake Cemetery.
Roger Math Korb, son of Math and Lorraine (Weisz) Korb was born on September 25, 1938 at Egeland ND. He grew up and was educated in Calio ND along with his 4 siblings. He worked for several years as a farm laborer in the Calio area before moving to Cando ND where he was employed as a brick refinisher.
Roger was united in marriage to Debra Gray on November 2, 1974 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Devils Lake. They made their home in Rocklake ND where he worked as a mechanic for the Farmers Union Coop. In 1984 he retired and they moved to Devils Lake and have called it home through the years.
Roger was a self-taught as a mechanic and carpenter. There seemed to be nothing Roger couldn’t fix or remodel. He was very meticulous about his yard, and as a faithful steward to the land planted 100’s of trees on his farm. He enjoyed many fishing outings and also raised white pigeons for many years.
Roger was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather, caring brother, uncle and dear friend.
Roger is survived by his wife Deb; children Sheri Korb (Wayne Koons) of Antler ND, Derrick Korb (Tonya Snavely) of Rocklake ND, Butch (Jolette) Korb, Cando ND, Mar-ie (Alex) Moen, Devils Lake, Tony (Francine) Korb, also of Cando and Michael (Amy) Korb, Rugby ND; many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister Cathy (Kim) Connole, Minot ND; brother Glen Korb (Marge Christianson) Devils Lake; brothers-in-law Gary (Ginger) Gray, Yakutat, Alaska and Dale Gray, Webster ND; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Charles and Curt and in-laws Clint and Millie Gray.
Casket Bearers will be Jesse Samuelson, Kobie Snavely, Jeff Lunak, Elisha McLaurin, Michael Houvinen and Darrell Berg.
