Sharon Kay Fingerson, 73 of Sheyenne, ND, formerly of Covington, WA passed away peacefully in her sleep on Feb. 8, 2019.
Sharon was born to Adolph and Katherine (Bachmeier) Gilderhus of Sheyenne, ND on Nov. 16, 1945 in Fargo, ND. She was the eldest of 12 siblings residing in Sheyenne, North Dakota. She graduated from Sheyenne High School in Sheyenne, ND. She moved to Conrad, Montana in 1963. She worked for Boeing in Washington and retired with Ailert then began traveling between Washington, Arizona, and North Dakota.
Sharon married her long-time friend Ailert Fingerson December 19, 1964 in Dillon, Montana. They lived in Conrad, Montana where 4 of their children were born. In the Spring of 1969 they bought a home in Covington, WA. They welcomed another child in the summer of 1971. ‘
Sharon became active in "Mother's of Twins Club", and received an award for Mother-of-the-Year. She was involved as a
"Campfire Leader" and " Cub Scouts Den Mother". She loved to sew, bake, cook, crafts, gardening, camping, and most of all dancing gracefully with Ailert to country music.
Sharon is survived by her children: Wendy Wilson of Oak Hills, CA, Kevin (Diane) Fingerson of Enumclaw, WA, Keith Fingerson if Covington, WA and Kathy Dahm of Renton, WA. She has 7 Grandchildren: Ashlee Leeman, Amber England, Amanda England, Nathan Dahm, Emily Dahm, Levi Fingerson, Lillian Fingerson and 5 Great-Grandchildren: Koltyn Leeman, Berkley Brooks, Billi-Jo Leeman, Ruby-Sue Leeman, Preston Holcombe.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolph and Katherine Gilderhus, son, Wade Curtis Fingerson, husband, Ailert Curtis Fingerson, Sister Linda Gilderhus and Great-granddaughter, Caroline Grace Leeman.
Memorial/Burial will be held in the spring in Washington State.
