In loving memory of our son, lil brother, dad, uncle, and friend.
Sheldon Lee Dogskin began his journey here on earth on July 29, 1989 in Devils Lake, born to his mother Catherine TwoHearts and his dad, the late Albert “Sha” Dogskin. On November 19, 2023, Sheldon began his journey to the Spirit World.
Sheldon was a very handsome, kind-hearted man. He enjoyed and loved every minute spending time with his kids, family, and friends. He always put a smile on everyone’s face with his jokes and laughter no matter if he was known by you, or just met you.
Growing up, attended Head Start, Four Winds Public School and Pierre Indian Learning Center in South Dakota. He also attended the Quentin Burdick Job Corp in Minot.
As a young man, he worked at Apple Bees and Spirit Lake Casino. He also lived in into, Bismarck, Sole, Manda, Grand Forks and in Montana.
Sheldon was an enrolled member of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, but was born and raised on the Spirit Lake Nation and always called SLN home. Sheldon married Kaylene Dunn in 2009 and they were the proud parents of Sherlynn born in 2010 and Breann born in 2011.
He enjoyed playing basketball, horse shoes, cards and dice, going for walks and cruising around. He was always listening to music. Sheldon was always more than happy to lend a helping hand. He so enjoyed spending time with his nieces Shirissa and Kaylece and his special grandkids Kalem Hoetl, LaiLeeyah Buckles and Ellionna Buckles. Most of all, Sheldon loved being with his kids and family.
He will forever be missed, loved, and remembered by all he shared his life with.

He joins in the Spirit World, his Dad Albert “Sha Dogskin Sr., sisters Cheryl Feather and Ila Feather, brothers Richard Feather and Shane Dogskin, maternal grandparents Michael and Rachel (Smith) TwoHearts, paternal grandparents Benedict and Anastasia Dogskin, uncles John, Jerome, Mike Jr., Francis, David and Tim TwoHearts, Nathan and Freeland Dogskin, aunts Anna TwoHearts, Julie TwoHearts, Stella, Anna, Francine and Betty Dogskin, nephews Terrence RedOwl, Neco Ross, and Antoine Littlewind, nieces Sherese Feather, Shyra Buckles and Kaylynn Littlewind, friends James “Jimbo” Graywater, Kami White and Felicia Cavanaugh, and other relatives of the Standing Rock and Spirit Lake Nations.
Active Casket Bearers will be Chanze Herman, Shirissa Buckles, Austen LaVallie, Alisha LaVallie, Shawn Dogskin, Louise fox, Mikah Buckles and Lisa TwoHearts. Escorts will be his daughters Sophia and Sherlynn.

A Wake will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at the Fort Totten Wellness Center beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a time of prayer and remembrance at 7:00 p.m. The procession to Fort Totten will leave om Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. from the City Plaza.
Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Fort Totten Wellness Center with burial in St. Jerome’s Cemetery following the service.
