Sonya D. Dahlen Pruitt

Sonya D. Dahlen Pruitt, 72 of Devils Lake ND passed away at her home on Friday, October 23, 2020 surrounded by loving family. 

Sonya Dawn Dahlen was born on October 14, 1948 at Devils Lake ND, the daughter of Carl S. Dahlen and Edna Thorson Dahlen.  Sonya was raised by Edna and her step-father Albert Baker. She grew up and was educated in Devils Lake ND and called Devils Lake home until her death. 

Sonya worked at several jobs throughout the years, but most of the time was employed as a bookkeeper at area car dealerships and for the local taxi service. 

Sonya loved her family with all her heart and felt blessed to have her daughter and several of her grandchildren close. 

Sonya is survived by her loving family.  Her daughter Holli Priutt-Rodriguez and her husband Ricardo of Devils Lake; sons Jason (Rita) Pruitt of Las Vegas NV and Joshua (Norma) Puritt of Los Angeles CA; grandchildren Angelica (Eric) Johnston, Ariel Rodriguez and Alyssa (Adrian) Cruz and Anthony, Matthew and Natalie Pruitt and Zachariah and Jessica Pruitt; step brother Lyle Baker; several nieces, nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father Albert and brothers Jerome Dahlen, Clare Dahlen and Dean Dahlen. 

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Devils Lake Cemetery.  Following the Graveside Service the family invites you to join them at the River of Life, Assembly of God Church, Devils Lake for a time of fellowship and sharing.
