Terri Belford

Terri Anne Belford peacefully started her journey to heaven on January 4th, 2025. Surrounded by her loving family, she reached the end of a long courageous battle.

Terri was born on April 21st, 1957 in Devils Lake to her parents Pat Hendrickson (Bradley) and Chuck Hendrickson. She had 3 Brothers and 2 Sisters. She loved taking long road trips with her family and going to baseball games including an annual camp in at the Twins Stadium. She graduated from Central High School in Devils Lake in 1975. While in High School, she worked as a waitress at the White House Cafe, at the Starlite Drive-In Movie Theater, as well as Lake Theater. She was also a CNA at the Lake Region Lutheran Home. She went to Lake Region Junior College and got her LPN degree and licensure and worked as an LPN for 10+ years before getting her RN degree and licensure from Montana State University in 1990. She worked as a nurse in North Dakota, Montana, and Virginia. She eventually became a Corporate Nurse Consultant.

Terri had three children, Kevin, Shaun (Michelle) and Jenny (Aaron) with her first husband, John Crough. She loved spending time with her kids camping, traveling, and was a very active member as a leader of The Boy Scouts.

She was united in marriage with the love of her life, Pat Belford on July 3rd, 2000. Terri and Pat loved to travel the world, spend weekends at the lake fishing, and spend time with their family and friends. Pat and Terri moved to Salem, Virginia in 2000.

Terri had 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and she loved hearing about their adventures. The light of her life was her Bichon/Shitzu Miss Gabbey Sunshine. Towards the end of her journey, she attended every event she could, despite her mobility restrictions. She didn’t let her physical limitations keep her from being there for her family or spending time with her coffee friends. She was an active community member, frequently attending the Fort Totten Little Theater, Arts in the Park, the concerts held at Spirit Lake Casino, and was the Silver Lake Freak Show’s Biggest groupie. She loved to crochet and read and listen to the Beatles.
