William Octave Leith II gained his angel wings on July 1, 2024 at his home in Lakota.
There will be a Celebration of Life Open House at the Lakota American Legion on Friday July 12, 2024 beginning at 2:00 p.m.
William was born on March 24, 1968 at Mercy Hospital in Devils Lake, ND to George William and Joan O. (Ray) Leith. He was raised on a farm near Doyon, ND. He attended school at Lakota ND. After school he joined the Army National Guard.
William married Kristina Everidge on July 17, 1989. Through this union they had three children Joseph, Kayla and Sam. They later divorced. William later met his soulmate Denise Darling Fisk.
William worked for ADC (Andalusia Development Corporation) in Alabama where he made his home for 15 years. He moved back to North Dakota and worked at Summers Manufacturing for 8 years. At the time of his death he was employed at Marquart Farms. He loved working on the farm. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, rooting for the Vikings and doing pull tabs. William was very talented. There was not anything he couldn’t do!
He loved being grandpa (AKA Papa WeeWee!) to ten grandchildren and one great grandson and numerous “adopted grandchildren” of his children’s friends.
He had a heart as big as the outdoors! He would give the shirt off his back and his last dollar to help! He made friends wherever he went.
William is survived by his loving family. His three children Joseph and Kim Leith of Lakota and his grandchildren Seth, Jasen, and Lane and great grandson Benjamin; Kayla Leith and his grandchildren Keegan, Ziva, and Ibbie all of Alabama; Sam and Joleen Leith and grandchildren Octavi and Saleen all of McVille, ND; soulmate Denise Darling Fisk and her children Kyle Fisk and Jessica and Roger Dias and children; three sisters Raynette and Wayne Zespy, West Fargo ND, Melinda and Tony Kraft and family, Fergus Falls, MN and Jennifer Morman of Riverdale, ND and family; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins; two aunts and one uncle Betty and Tom Stoll, Yakima WA and Kay Martin, Buxton, ND and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Joan and grandparents Sam and Olivia Ray and William Octave and Genevieve Leith.
