Cory A. Taylor, 40 of Grand Forks formerly of Devils Lake, ND passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks.
Mass of the Resurrection for Cory will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, St. Michael, ND. Father Paul Schuster will celebrate the Mass and burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be held at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Visitation on Tuesday will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral Mass.
Cory Allen, son of Donald Taylor and Rosella DuBois was born on March 5, 1974 at Grand Forks, ND. He grew up in Grand Forks, attending West Elementary School and South Junior High. After the family moved to Devils Lake he attended Devils Lake Central High School and was a wrestler on the wrestling team. Cory later earned his GED.
Since high school, Cory has mainly worked in housing/general construction for several companies and with his Dad in the Lake Region area and Grand Forks.
Cory faced the many challenges in his life with courage, faith and the love and support of his family and recently he and his daughter Faith had been able to bond in a special way. Their time together was very precious to Cory.
Cory is survived by his daughter Faith Taylor, Grand Forks; father Don Taylor and his wife Nancy of Devils Lake; his siblings Keith DuBois, Ed Wanna, Greg Lawrence, Vern Lawrence, Shelly Hemmelgran, Mary Adelmeyer, Dion Taylor, Don Taylor Jr., Mike Taylor, Kari Taylor and Jamie Taylor; special friend, Rebecca Jens; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother Rosella; sister Janet and his grandparents.
