Dion BeKenneth Gardner, 26 was born on March 10, 1996 and died on Saturday, November 12, 2022.
The Wake will be held on Monday, November 21, 2022 at St. Michael’s Recreation Center beginning at 5:00 p.m. The procession to St. Michael will leave on Monday from City Plaza at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Services for Dion on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. also at St. Michael’s Recreation Center with Reverend Paul Schuster officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Dion’s Bros: Shaquille Dubois, Austin Longie, Ryan Hill, Brandon Black, Keith Longie Sr., Russell Littleghost, Rory Littleghost, Devin Gardner, Keith Longie Jr. and Jaydon Longie. Dion BeKenneth Gardner: Our beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle and father made his way home to the Spirit World on November 12, 2022 at St. Alexius Health, Devils Lake Hospital with his family by his side.
Dion was born March 10, 1996 to Macy Laundreaux and Darrell Gardner in Devils Lake, ND. He was raised and grew up in St. Michael, ND with his siblings and many relatives.
Dion attended school at Four Winds all 12 years, receiving his diploma from Four Winds High School, graduating with the class of 2015.
In 2010 he met Cerra Scott and in December 18, 2012 they welcomed his one and only baby girl, Dacy Bree Gardner who stole his heart. After graduating high school, he attended college at CCCC doing HVAC for a short time. Then later he worked at the Spirit Lake Casino and Resort for sometime and then taking on various jobs throughout the years.
Then in 2016 he met his longtime girlfriend, Megan Black who helped him raise this baby girl. He had his little family, the three of them always together.
Dion always had a big bright smile, always joking around, he was very polite and caring, willing to lend a helping hand whenever, always giving hugs and he just loved everybody. No matter the situation, he would put a smile on your face. He will be greatly missed by many.
He is survived by his loving family: His mother Macy Laundreaux (Galen) and father Darrel Gardenr; one and only baby girl Dacy Bree Gardner; sisters Destiny Gardner and kids (DuRon Dubois, DaZya Dubois and DaNya Gardner-Davis),Delanie Laundreaux; brothers Devin Gardner (Danyelle), Drayzon Gardner; maternal grandparents Marilyn Thompson (Sam) and Rick LAundreaux; aunts and uncles Angel Thompson (Keith) and family, Robin Tollefson, Etta Olson, Lynda Olson, Jenny Olson, Marissa Laundreaux, Russell Littleghost and family, Rory Littleghost (Kayla) and family, Marlin (Kasey) Thompson and family, Marcus Laundreaux, Sharon Cavanaugh and family, Cindy Thompson, Paula Thompson, Donna Youngman, Theresa Lofton and family, Alfred (Anita) Thompson and family, Calvin Thompson, Everette “Todd” and Jonelle White and family; paternal family: aunts Carrie Gardner-Chidester and family, Tonya Gardner and family, Arlene Gardner and family, Kim Gardner-Chidester; uncle Terrance Gardner and family; many, many more too many to mention. Sorry if we forgot anybody.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Glenda Alhandra and Darrell Gardner II; maternal grandpas Kenny O, Kenny Thompson, Aloysius Cloud and Jesse Cavanaugh; uncle Tyson Olson; great grandparents Ambrose and Mary Louise Thompson.
