Rhiannon Frances Smith

Rhiannon Frances Smith, 31 of Belcourt formerly of Crow Hill District, ND passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND.

The Wake for Rhiannon will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at the Fort Totten Wellness Center beginning at 6:00 p.m. with a time of prayer at 7:00 p.m.  The procession to Fort Totten will leave at 5:00 p.m. from the City Plaza in Devils Lake.

Funeral Services for Rhiannon will be held on Friday, June 7, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Wellness Center with Reverend Larry Thiele officiating. Rhiannon will be laid to rest in the St. Thomas Episcopal Cemetery, rural Fort Totten at a later date.

Rhiannon Frances Smith was born on August 3, 1987, the daughter of Dwight and Rhea (Shaw-Iron Moccasin) Smith.

Rhiannon loved to tease, make people laugh and especially loved spending time with her family and kids. She enjoyed coloring and puzzle books.  She battled health problems for several years, but always tried to keep a positive attitude and felt so blessed to have the love and support of her family her entire life.  Dearest daughter, mom, granddaughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend, you will be greatly missed.

Rhiannon is survived by her loving family which include her parents Dwight and Rhea of Belcourt, ND; her children Skylier Smith, twins Aiyanna and Ashton Smith, Richard Parisien Jr. and Dezmond Smith; brothers and sisters Clinton McKay, Pepper Iron Moccasin, Carlin Iron Moccasin, Lorraine (Sage Peltier) Smith and Larissa McKay; grandpa Frances Smith and many dear aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Rhiannon loved you all. 

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Vivian Shaw, Jerry Adams and Lorraine Smith; sisters Rolene Faith Smith and Angela Smith; brother Alvin Iron Moccasin.

Pallbearers will be Sage Peltier, Kevin Lafountaine Sr., Arlin Blacklance, Mark Shaw Sr., Ron Azure, Whalen Shaw Sr. and Dom Vann. Honorary Bearers will be Pepper Iron Moccasin and Lorraine Smith.  Special tribute to Rhiannon will be given by Shayleigh Bercier and Jaelyn McKay.
